Each pearl we sell have been thru X Rays. This proceedure provide us the pearl nacre thickness on the nucleus or foreign body.
To give a pearl a price, several factors are importants, luster, shape, blemishes, size, Color and most important, the nacre thickness.
More the nacre layer is thicker, more the pearl will have value (of course other factors are also important).
According to global agreements on cultured pearls, in accordance with the requirements imposed by the Caribbean collective of independent producers of cultured and natural pearls we do not sell pearls with less than 0.80mm of nacre thickness. |
